Income Splitting Between Spouses

The bachelor’s thesis focuses on income splitting between spouses. The first part contains the general tax theory where taxation system, personal income tax and income splitting between spouses are explained. Next part deals with the analysis and the comparation of the tax burden on married couples in the Czech Republic in 2007 and 2013 and deals with the analysis in other selected countries. The last part provides examples of calculation of tax liability and presents means of tax optimization in selected years.
The Female Protagonists' Dreams of Social Advancement in Irmgard Keun's Gilgi, One of Us and Elfriede Jelinek's Novel Women as Lovers

This thesis concerns the theme of female protagonists' dreams of social advancement in two novels, Gilgi, One of Us by Irmgard Keun and Women as Lovers by Elfriede Jelinek. It is divided into three main parts, with the introductory part focusing on the novel Gilgi, One of Us, the second part on Women as Lovers, and the final part on a comparative analysis of the protagonists' dreams of social ascent. Before the analysis itself, the first two chapters initially offer a theoretical background to the books in the form of a cultural and literary context and an introduction to the author's life. Thus, in the case of Gilgi, One of Us, the focus lies primarily on society during the Weimar Republic, the concept of the new woman is introduced, and as far as the literary context is concerned, the literature of the new objectivity is discussed. The analysis shows that the protagonist Gilgi corresponds to the concept of the new woman. Her inner attitude, built on diligence and discipline, is the basis for her ambitious dreams of getting as far as possible through her own efforts. In the case of The Women as Lovers the status of women in the second half of the 20th century is underlined, the feminist-oriented literature of the 1970s is introduced, and the protagonists Brigitte and Paula are portrayed as women...

1 Legal development of marriage in the Czech Republic Abstract This thesis deals comprehensively with the individual regulations of marriage, i.e. the process of marriage in the Czech Republic. The first part of the thesis is devoted to historical regulations, starting with marriage in the originally common society and then Slavic marriage customs, Catholic regulation of marriage, subsequent changes under Maria Theresa and Joseph II, especially the regulation in the ABGB, the First Republic regulation in the Czechoslovak Divorce Act 1919, changes under the Protectorateof Bohemia and Moravia and finally theregulation in the communist family codes, respectively the Family Law Act 1949 and the Family Law Act 1963 including subsequent amendments. At the end of the first part, there is both an evaluation of the individual regulations and an analysis of which institutes are repeated through the history of marriage and which have not outlived their time or are no longer relevant in today's society. The theoretical part of the bachelor's thesis briefly describes the history and present of sexuality, divides sexual orientations into different groups, and mainly deals with homosexuality, homosexual behavior and possible risks of sexually transmitted diseases.

Comparison of Czech and Slovak regulation of legal consequences of the dissolution of marriage The topic of the diploma thesis is the legal consequences of the dissolution of marriage. The consequences of the dissolution of marriage are examined in two legal regulations, Czech and Slovak, and at the same time compared. The individual ways of marriage dissolution are discussed on an ongoing basis. The work consists of an introduction, five chapters, which are further divided into subchapters, and a conclusion. The first chapter deals with the concept of marriage, its purpose, functions and obligations, and the rights arising from it. The second chapter deals with the historical development of the legal regulation of the dissolution of marriage. Both in the territory of today's Czech Republic and the territory of today's Slovak Republic, from the 18th century to the current legal status. It is not without interest that while for a long time the two legal regulations were separated from each other, ie they were completely different, a relatively long period of joint legal development followed, so that after the division of the Czechoslovakia the two legal regulations diverged again. Options of education to a stable partnership and marriage at primary schools

Bachelor thesis contains theoretical part and a research design. At the beginning the thesis focuses on current situation in the stability of partnerships in the Czech Republic. It also describes skills, knowledge and attitudes that usually influence the stability of partnerships and marriages. The thesis also deals with the question where and how to gain these skills, knowledge and attitudes. It briefly mentions the influence of a family and in detail focuses on elementary school, its functions and possible actions in this area. Especially discusses the forms, methods and conditions for effective education to stable partnerships and marriages. Presented research design is created as a longitudinal study. Research participants are divided into a control group and a treatment group. Pupils in the research group participate in a long- term program for gaining skills, knowledge and attitudes that could support stability of the individuals' partnerships in the future. The control group does not participate in this program. After 10, 20 and 30 years, the research participants are tested. We find out if the relationships of students who have gone through the program are more stable than relationships of the students in control group.
The Ministers of Christian Churches and their (Un)Married Life in the Czech Republic

The presented work focuses on the topic of priests of selected Christian Churches, and their potential possibility to live in marriage. In order to view pastors comprehensively, it is essential to define who a priest is, how it is possible to become one, how to terminate this status, what the rights, duties and punishments for the priests are and what hierarchy each Church has. A historical overview of the priests' celibacy in the history of the Church and specifically in Czech history is also included in the diploma paper, as well as theology of celibacy. Roman-Catholic Church, Orthodox Church in the Czech Lands and Slovakia and Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren are selected for the purpose of this work.

Conceptually, it is divided into a historical part, a comparative part and a practical part, which includes a proposal for the legal regulation of consensual divorce in the Czech Republic, which is the focus of the thesis, with regard to the existing legal regulation in Act No. 89/2012 Coll., the Civil Code, as amended. In the historical part, the thesis deals with the development of matrimonial law with a focus on the legal regulation of divorce, both in ancient Rome and then in selected European states in the various stages of development from the early Middle Ages to the modern era. This period is characterised by a rigid legal system based on canon law. In these periods, the supervision of marriage and the family is in the hands of the Church. The property issues resultant from divorce in the Roman Empire Abstract This work deals with the topic of property relationships between married couples in relation to their divorce in the Roman world of the emperors. The main property issues at hand are dowry, property connections between the individual families and presents between the husband and wife. To understand the institutes involved properly, the work first presents the topic of marriage so that the reader may better understand the types of marriage, which naturally influence the divorce proceedings and their actual impact on the couple in question. The prerequisites of marriage are considered as well as the differences between marriage cum in manum conventione and marriage sine in manum conventione. Next, details of property relationships between married couples in times before divorce are discussed, especially as relates to the possible types of marriage. The topic of dowry, bridegift and gifts between spouses are contemplated. 53 Marriage law and today's society Abstract The thesis focuses on the comparison of social advance in the context of family, pointing out the relatively rapid development towards equality and the reduction of stigmas associated with unmarried cohabitation. This societal development is then confronted with the existing legal framework, especially in the Czech Republic. This thesis attempts to point out the rigidity of the legal system and to identify certain injustices resulting from it for the addressees of legal norms. This thesis is divided into 4 parts. The first part deals with the concept of family and how this phenomenon is perceived in terms of sociology. In part two, the thesis focuses on marriage, with particular emphasis on delineating the problems associated with marriage. Part Three then describes marriage in terms of different schools of thought, where marriage is analytically confronted with questions of the meaning and function of its existence in legal orders. Finally, in the fourth part, different directions of legal regulation are presented that could ensure a more just and comprehensive regulation of matrimonial, and therefore family law, so that this regulation meets the requirements of today's society.
